So now I must continue, but if you haven’t read my previous post, please do as it will help with the context.
Obviously it took me a long while to get this post done because honestly, it is difficult to be detailed at each and every country and that my bed has been so inviting lately (my shoulder blades are aching) that I spent most of my time reading and watching TV. Bad, I know. But hey, here are the rest! I hope you enjoy reading!
16. Principality of Monaco (Monte Carlo). Monaco is the world’s second smallest country (next to the Vatican) and a billionaire’s playground because this tiny country’s government does not collect taxes. They rely on their casinos for funding. Because of this, Monaco is where you can find the richest people evident by the cars on display in their streets, the posh hotels and the excessive amount of yachts. I am also not sure about how guarded the palace in Monaco is as I did not see much outside the palace’s grounds.

There was this silly dream I had ever since 2006. Earlier in my life, I did not know I would want to explore one place at a time until I set foot in New York back when I was 13 years old. You see, I started traveling late (relative to other kids these days) and I never thought I would enjoy it in particular because when I first did, it was a long haul flight right away and doing that to a kid who had (and I think still has) ADHD, it was just torture. Not mentioning the sudden drop in temperature in my environment and being the tropical kid that I was, I craved for some heat and sun.
Nevertheless, I got home from that trip and I realized, I knew more than the other kids of my age in terms of the way other people lived at the other side of the world. I was able to understand and relate with the American culture and I get why some things were done a certain way. That made me realize, it was such a fascinating journey and I am able to keep the knowledge and understand the world better. I thought it was so cool to be enjoying and learning so much at such a short period of time. From then on, I began to dream. I even wanted to live in Los Angeles before (because I wanted to stay in the US but didn’t like the cold).
So back to 2006, I never thought it would be possible then, so I tried to challenge myself and told myself I wanted the number of countries I’ve been to, to equal my age one day. And last 2011, that day happened. I have been blessed with so much that the number is even up by 3 countries (so I don’t feel pressured going anywhere new this year, next year or even the year after that, but I really want to!). So let me do a rundown for you (okay, for me as well) about the places I’ve gone to. I thought it was just 28 countries and did not consider Vatican to be a country. Silly me. I’ll try to describe a little bit about these states (if I remember them, hehe).
Let me do the first 15 first, so that hopefully, I won’t bore you.

I do not believe in zodiac signs but I like reading them whenever I flip through a magazine or just happen to open a link about it. This was one of those instances as I follow The Lost Girls and a post about how one travels based on one’s zodiac popped out of my screen through my Google Reader.
I’m under the Pisces sign and here is what my zodiac apparently says about how I travel:
Give them a beach vacation or a visit to a tropical island and the Pisces is right at home. The water sign fish loves being near the ocean and is overcome with a calming sense of peace when they hear the waves hit the shore. Although they love water, cruises are not a good fit for this sign because of their wild imagination and sense of adventure. The Pisces need to be able to roam free and explore and can’t be constrained to the walls of the lower deck. Getting the opportunity to experiment with photography, painting or pottery while on holiday would tap into the creative vein of the Pisces and make for a truly memorable trip. The one cautionary note that arises from the characteristics of this sign when traveling is the need to reign in their whimsical spirit occasionally to ensure you stick to a schedule when it comes to making it to the airport for a flight or arriving on time for a dinner reservation.
