I blogged about Spiral a couple of years ago and now that it is under renovation, I can’t help but to look forward to its re-opening come August this year. During the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila’s official website launch, I got a glimpse of the food being offered by the hotel lately.

Birthday dinner means a new restaurant. I remember wanting to eat at Nuvo when I was still in college but couldn’t really tag anyone with me. For a while, I forgot about it and I was just used to passing by that area, almost everyday and have gotten used to Nuvo being just there. And so I saw a good deal at TCAT Philippines (which by the way has excellent customer service), one of the group buying sites (I no longer look at them one by one, this just happen to somehow made it to my Facebook feed). Hehe. Anyway, it was paying Php 650 for a Php 1,000 voucher. Not bad right? I bought quite a few.

Anyway, we are always a bunch when we go out for my birthday dinner, which makes me happy really. I love that my siblings will eat everything and anything, with an occasional comment here and there. If I knew how to cook, they would have made me happy finishing up the dishes I made. Anyway, enough about us. Let me walk you through our experience.

I am not exactly sure what sea bass is. Obviously it is a type of fish, but as to why it seems to always have expensive price tag beside its name in menus, remains to be a mystery for me.
I have tasted quite a few really good sea bass dishes but somehow, Chelsea’s version always wins.
