I am not sure if this video has been launched or shown before but I only got to watch this a few days ago and I can’t seem to find it on YouTube (can you?). Thus, I downloaded it from Department of Tourism’s website (DOT) to share to you. This is the longest version of IT’S MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES campaign that I have seen so far from DOT.
This video does not have that sophisticated and expensive looking editing but not one of the statements in it was untrue. I am proud of the Philippines and this video made me want to even travel my own country more. It felt good to be watching it over and over again.
So, anyone wants to go to Siargao, Dumaguete, Samar, Cagayan de Oro, Sagada, Batanes or Ilo-ilo? I want! Haha.
*Please note, the video was downloaded from http://tourism.gov.ph and uploaded for the purpose of sharing as I could not seem to embed the one in the original website.
Edit: Manny Nepomuceno pointed me to the final edit of the video. It’s the one uploaded above. Thanks Manny!
The past few months have been very difficult for me. I was in desperate need of new perspectives because all I wanted to do was disappear. And I did. Luckily, I have amazing and patient friends and siblings who would force me to get out of my bed just so they can take me away from my never-ending TV marathon which obviously did not do anything for my social life. What is luckier is that two of them share my love for surfing and the sea. And so we went back to La Union and had the time of our lives again.
And by that, I mean… a beach trip! Hay, so painful to be stuck in the scorching metro day in and out. I would die without an air condition on these days. Anyway, just a couple of post from my past beach trips, because I miss going to one. I really really do. And I have no motivation to lose weight because even a lift of a finger causes me to sweat and it’s so sticky, it’s terribly disgusting.
I have always wanted to see Mindanao. Yes, 20 something years in existence and I only saw a part of it a few days ago. I did not see this coming. I was prepared to let go and just go to Mindanao next year maybe.
It was a toss-up between Palawan and Davao actually. See, remember that Boracay flight my siblings were supposed to take via Cebu Pacific but got cancelled and moved to the next day? They were able to provide my siblings round trip tickets anywhere in the Philippines. As known, flights to Davao, or anywhere Mindanao in general can get relatively expensive. Thus, I geared toward Davao and suffered paying the airfare price of Php 4,600++.
After deciding, that was when I discovered that Davao is an adventure capital. And I easily get scared. Yes, I jumped off a cliff but I will always remain scared. My sister left no time in convincing me to avail of the Metrodeal promo that sent us to an everyday adventure during our stay. Truth be told, I was more anxious than excited about the trip.
