A Beach Life at Astoria Boracay

This post was triggered by last Halloween, when everyone was in Boracay except for myself (I kid).  Smile with tongue out

This year’s summer led me to my self-declared hometown Boracay. After spending some time in Shangri-la Boracay (several posts about this here, here, here and here), experiencing the main beach of the island was something I feel like is a must-do. I know choices for accommodations on this island is never scarce (maybe during Holy Week). Boracay literally has a lot, ranging from affordable to luxurious ones! One of the newest however was Astoria Boracay and tempted by their pool landscape, airy ambiance and the minimalist design dominated by the color white, I gladly went into research mode on how to get the best rate.

Pearl Farm: Breakfast, Cocktails, Dinner

Cocktails Happy Hour

The day we arrived and checked in, we settled down for a bit and then changed. We went out of our rooms and headed to Pearl Farm’s bar just by the infinity pool, at the pagoda’s upper floor. They have 50% off deal on drinks during their happy hour (4-6pm). It was the perfect location to wait for the sun to set or just relax and exchange funny conversations.

Hotel H2O Breakfast

Staying at Hotel H20 includes breakfast for two at Makansutra. Although I didn’t really want to leave the room early as it was just so cozy, I needed to eat. And so we were off to the 2nd floor of the building and found the buffet upon entering the restaurant.

The breakfast spread in Makansutra is not as extensive as that of other hotels in the city. Theirs composed of simple varieties of Filipino and American breakfast dishes such as fried bangus, pork tocino, beef tapa, chicken sausages, ham and hash brown.
